The Penn State Master Watershed Stewards’ annual Native Tree and Shrub Sale is back—and it’s your chance to add high-quality native plants to your landscape while directly supporting watershed health in Bucks and Montgomery Counties.

Pre-order now - the sale ends August 27 at 5 p.m. or when inventory sells out.

About the Sale

This online pre-order event features a curated selection of 23 different native trees and shrubs, chosen for their watershed benefits, popularity with the community, and proven success in Pennsylvania’s climate.
Favorites like pawpaw and persimmon are on the list, along with a variety of species to fit different sun, soil, and space needs.

Plant sizes & pricing:

  • Two-gallon containers: $33 (most species)
  • One-gallon option: $20
  • Three-gallon option: $45

How to Order

You can browse the full Tree and Shrub Catalog on the Penn State Extension website for detailed photos, mature height, sun/soil preferences, and bloom times. Consider the mature size of each plant and any nearby utilities before placing your order.

Ordering options:

Pickup Details

Orders are available for curbside pickup only at 29 locations across Pennsylvania - no plants will be sold onsite.

Pickup dates vary by location, but most are in September or October. Examples:
  1. Schuylkill County: Saturday, September 20 (2–4 p.m.)
  2. Dauphin County: Saturday, October 4 (9 a.m.–12 p.m.)
  3. Berks County: Friday, October 4 (4–6:30 p.m.)

Where Your Money Goes

Funds raised stay local, supporting Master Watershed Steward activities such as:
  • Stream repair projects
  • Community tree plantings
  • Youth watershed education programs
